Tweed Winter Carnival February 12-14 2016

The Winter Carnival Steering Committee is comprised of members of the Agricultural Society, Chamber of Commerce, Municipality of Tweed, Tweed Music Festivals, the Tweed Lions Club, Land O' Lakes Curling Club and the Kiwanis Club of Tweed.  

The steering committee has adopted "Mr. Tweedy" as the logo for the carnival.  "Mr. Tweedy" will appear during the Carnival for photos and as the ambassafor for the weekend.

A very speical event will be the Friday night Sweetheart Dance featuring popular Belleville radio personality, Freddy Vette and his band, the Flames.  The 50's Sock Hop (costimes optional) begins at 8:00 pm at st. Edmund's Hall, off Marlbank Road, east of Tweed.  This is a licenced event with cash bar (ID Required).  Tickets are available at Bush Furniture, Tweed News, Pinnacle Music in Belleville, or reserve by calling 613-478-1691. This event is liekly to sell out so get your tickets early.

6:00 PM - Torchlight Parade - Assembling on Colborne St. - Down Victoria Street from Bridge St. to River St. - Marchers welcome - pick up your glowsticks from the Lions Club Parade Marshalls at Boldrick's parking lot on Colborne St. 

6:00-8:00 PM - Kid's Dance- White Building - Ages Kindergarten to Grade 5

6:30 PM- Bonfire & Skating - Bonfire - Tweed Memorial Park, Skating on Stoco Lake Skating Rink, Refreshments available from local vendors. 

8:30 PM - Fireworks - Tweed Memorial Park by the lake.
