That Art Thing! art club open at the Lions Hall - eveyone welcome, bring your friends!
A small group of local artists have created an art club for Tweed and area. The group meets in the Tweed Lions Hall, (across from Valu-Mart) 1st and 3rd Mondays each month from 9:30am to noon. Each club member brings their own materials including drop cloths for the tables and the floor.
Based on the practice of other art groups, the club will charge $5 per day attended, no membership fee. Coffee, tea and snacks will be available for a small donation.
Once the club is established, and has some extra funds, the group can plan tutorials and demonstrations to add to the knowledge and fun of the group. Club members could also offer their expertise in some area of art. That is the main reason for painting together – the exchange of ideas and experience.
