Welcome to the Municipality of Tweed!
On behalf of the Municipality of Tweed, The Municipality intends to utilize Wagar & Corput Weed Control Inc. to control noxious weeds along the following Roadways.
List of Roadway guiderails and guideposts to be sprayed to remove noxious weeds are as follows.
Marlbank Rd from Highway 37 to The Hamlet of Marlbank. Napanee Rd to Coldwater Rd. Moneymore Rd from Napanee Rd to Old Hungerford Rd. Crookston Rd from 1.0 km west of Highway 37 to Municipal Boundary. Quin-Mo-Lac Rd from 1.0 west of Highway 37 to Camp Rd. Sulphide Rd from Highway 37 to Otter Creek Rd. Flinton Rd from Highway 7 for 12.0 km North and Queensborough Rd from Highway 7 to the hamlet of Queensborough.
The contractor will be using pesticides registered under the Pest Control Products Act (Canada): Clearview (Reg#29752) containing active ingredients Metsulfuron-methyl and Aminopyralid (present as potassium salt) , Gateway adjuvant (Reg#31470) containing the active ingredients Paraffinic Oil and Alkoxylated alcohol non-ionic surfactants, Arsenal Powerline Herbicide(Reg#30203) containing the active ingredient: Imazapyr (present as the isopropylamine salt) and VisionMax Herbicide(Reg#27736) containing active Glyphosate(present as potassium salt).
This work is being done under the Public Works exception to the cosmetic pesticides ban for the promotion of public health or safety.
