Tweed & Company Theatre have generously offered to share proceeds from the Wed. Sept. 26 performance of 'Aleck Bell' with the Tweed & Area Arts Council! T&AAC are selling tickets for special price of $20 each. Aleck Bell tells the incredible true story of Alexander Graham Bell and the invention of the telephone, exploring the controversy surrounding the invention, all told through your favourite Canadian Pop Rock hits...Enjoy performances by Tweed's own Mark Lesage, several Tweed& Co. veterans, and some new-to-Tweed performers that have graced stages across Canada. Added dimension: Deaf actor/singer Cassie-Hope Aubin plays Bell's wife Mabel, who was herself deaf. Given the incredible success of Hastings! The Musical earlier this summer, audiences won’t be disappointed. Support Tweed & Co., local/original musical theatre, and raise some funds for T&AAC! Now that is a bargain... tickets to this fundraiser evening available from TA&AAC Board members or at Bush Furniture – contactus@tweedartscouncil.ca or call 613.847.7444.
