Queensborough Movie Night

Location:Queensborough Community Centre, 1853 Queensborough Rd.
Enjoy a classic movie in the historic surroundings of the Queensborough Community Centre, the village's former one-room schoolhouse. The featured film is The Manchurian Candidate (1962), director John Frankenheimer's masterpiece. Made at the height of the Cold War, the film took advantage of that era's tensions and is tightest and most influential political thrillers ever made. It stars Frank Sinatra, Janet Leigh, Laurence Harvey, and Angela Lansbury in one of her most memorable roles. Showtime is 6:30 p.m. and there is no admission charge (donations welcome). Popcorn and soft drinks for sale. Everyone welcome! A presentation of the Queensborough Community Centre Committee.
