Emergency Management Prolong Freezing Rain

Weather Network update:  "Ice build-up due to freezing rain is expected or occurring.

Freezing rain will begin this morning or early this afternoon. Some areas may see a brief period of snow before the freezing rain begins. Freezing rain accretion of 2 to 5 mm is possible on untreated surfaces. Freezing rain will change to snow or freezing drizzle this evening or overnight.

Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots will become icy, slippery and hazardous. There may be a significant impact on rush hour traffic in urban areas. Utility outages may occur.
