Provincial Day of Action on Litter
May 12, 2020 was proclaimed as the Provincial Day of Action on Litter in Ontario.
While this date remains in effect, a Waste Reduction week will be planned for October 2020 due to Covid-19.

Quick Facts
- Ontario generates nearly a tonne of waste per person each year.
- It is estimated that every 1,000 tonnes of waste diverted from landfill generates seven full-time jobs, $360,000 in wages and more than $700,000 in gross domestic product.

The Municipality of Tweed is currently under a heat warning for the next few days. To help residents stay cool, the following cooling stations are available:

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM
Tweed Public Library
Hours: Tuesday to Saturday, 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM
