Village Water Re: Downtown Fire

Due to the fire in the downtown sector today, you may notice some discolouration in your water similar to what may occur during the semi-annual fire hydrant flushing.  Any discolouration is temporary and does not pose a risk to your health. The discolouration is due to sediments being disturbed after the emergency use of fire hydrants. To help get our systems back on track, we are asking residents to reduce unnecessary water consumption for the remainder of today. If you are experiencing coloured water from your taps, let the cold water run for a minute or two until the water runs clear. Thank you for your cooperation and please reach out to Allan Broek, Manager of Public Works at 613-391-7966 with any questions.
