Following consultation with Hastings Prince Edward Public Health and their subsequent conditional approval, the Municipality of Tweed will be opening both the Tweed Public Boat Launch at 125 River St. East and the Cosy Cove Boat Launch on Thursday, May 7, 2020. The opening is conditional that all boaters and anglers must abide by all provincial legislated guidelines.
This means that there shall be no gatherings of more than 5 people, and individuals must maintain a separation distance of at least 6 feet apart whether on land or on a boat.
For the safety of our residents during the COVID-19 pandemic, the boat docks will not be put in this year and there is absolutely no fishing off the concrete pad until provincial state of emergency is lifted.
The remainder of Tweed Memorial Park remains closed until further notice.
