QUINTE CONSERVATION UPDATES FLOOD OUTLOOK STATEMENT March 20, 2019 Flood Outlook Statement Weather forecasted across the Quinte Conservation Watershed over the next week and a half will typically include small amounts of precipitation with above freezing temperatures during the day and below freezing at night. Potential Localized Flooding ATTENTION RESIDENTS: Currently we are experiencing warmer temperatures both during the day and the evening which is causing localized flooding. We are hearing reports of flooding in basements. What we know is that we have a thick layer of ice on the ground beneath the snow. Flood Outlook Statement ATTENTION RESIDENTS: Quinte Conservation has issued a Flood Outlook Statement (please see below). Due to ice build up and recent rainfall most roadside culverts are frozen. Public Works staff have been thawing culverts and clearing snow from ditches in noted problem areas.
