Lets Move Municipality of Tweed! - Chair Yoga
40 minute Chair Yoga classes will be held on Monday evenings at 6 pm at the Tweed Library (please enter at side door).
Chair yoga is a gentle form of exercise, good for anyone who is suffering from a recent injury, surgery or lacking mobility. With that being said, you do not have to be injured or have mobility issues to try chair yoga. Everyone is welcome to reap the benefits of a chair yoga class.

Reduced anxiety
Reduce and regulate blood pressure
Increase circulation
Improves digestion
Increases strength, flexibility and mobility.
Every class will begin with a breathing exercise (pranayama). Our breath is the guiding force in yoga.
Gentle movement and stretches (asana), linked up with our breathing warm up and energizing the body. The class is mostly seated however it can build to standing over the 5 weeks.
Every class will finish with a restorative body scan and "meditation moment" increasing relaxation and boosting positive mood.
Please wear comfortable clothing and bring water, if you wish.
