At 12:00 p.m. on March 31, 2020, Mayor Jo-Anne Albert declared a State of Emergency for the Municipality of Tweed. The declaration of an emergency under s. 4. (1) of the Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act provides the Municipality with all options available to protect the health and safety of individuals and families.

Information Regarding Building Permits
As of Saturday April 4, 2020 the Provincial Government has ordered that no new building permits be issued for construction.
Residential construction projects can continue based on the following,
a footing permit has been granted for single family, semi-detached and townhomes
an above grade structural permit has been granted for condominiums, mixed use and other buildings, or

Fire Hydrant Flushing
Ontario Clean Water Agency will be carrying out a fire hydrant flushing program in the Village of Tweed. In order to complete this program, the west side of the Village will be completed the first week and the east side of the village will be completed the second week. Hours of flushing will be between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
The first week of flushing will commence on Tuesday April 14,
